Here is a wonderful link to an article in the NY Times about MONEY. You will notice that I capitalized money because it is so important. Along with sex, it is one of the biggest magnets for marital problems. Please talk over your credit history even before you plan your wedding. Include discussions of your spending habits, family attitudes toward money and your expectations in this area. After all, if you don’t talk about it now, it could cost a lot in the future, perhaps in divorce court. This is the time to sort it all out and make your peace and your future plans. Be honest, be open and tell the whole story. For extra help in this area, there are so many experts who will give you a free first consultation. I wish you lots of love and lots of money too. Here is that link: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/24/your-money/24money.html?em I saw this wonderful ceremony on Huffington Post and knew you would laugh as hard as I did. You may have been afraid of getting the giggles this way, particularly if your groom says ‘waffle-y’ instead of lawfully. He then tries to make it cute by saying, ‘and pancake-y’ which sends his bride into hysterics. Enjoy! Jim and Jodie were married August 1 at Red Rock Crossing. This magnificent setting, where our natural red rock cathedral shelters soft water scenes on Oak Creek, is one of the most popular Sedona Wedding sites in our area. You can see why in these beautiful photos:
The local picnic crowd enjoyed the wedding too, yet not as much as the family…. Both Jim and Jodie had wonderful emotions showing in this wedding. That’s when you know there is great love too… That first kiss after they’re married is so special and sweet….. Can you imagine a more beautiful place to be married? The happy couple is surrounded by shadows and light, reflected in the mountain purity of Oak Creek. A kiss on Oak Creek with the sunset-highlighted mountains in the background…. Jim, Jodie, her children and her brother and his family after the wedding……. Everyone was so happy… Got that marriage license signed!! Later, at Dahl & DiLuca for that wedding dinner…… Soon, Jim and Jodie will be headed for a new life in Belgium and the excitement can be seen in their eyes in these photos. They are tickled pink to be moving together to a romantic place where French food and new scenery will be a whole new honeymoon and living experience. Good luck to them!! With over 200,000 views on Youtube, the clip shows a Minnesota couple and their attendants dancing down the aisle, complete with a forward roll by the groom. In any event, it will make you smile or outright laugh. Think of ways to make your wedding this much fun and everyone will talking about it for years. Be happy and dance……. Here is a post from an English woman, who made her dress and her flowers. Her father (what a guy!) made her cupcakes, or most of them. She gives lovely pictures and directions of all of it. (Hint: she didn’t knit the dress We often think that most Sedona Weddings happen in the summer and that is not totally true. Many weddings do take place in the summer, but there are many all through the year. Brides and grooms love the red rocks and beautiful scenery as a backdrop for the most important day of their lives. There is something about standing on this magnetic iron soil with many sea crystals embedded throughout that makes hearts open and everyone smile. So don’t wait for next summer for your wedding; get married this fall. Many years ago, someone said, “If I have but three months to live, let them all be April.” And I love April but Sedona’s falls are incredibly beautiful, when the clouds are puffy and few against the incredible cerulean blue of our Southwestern skies. With towering spires of red ocher and fire orange silhouetted against the blue heavens, it couldn’t be prettier, especially if the trees near Oak Creek have caught their fall colors. The crimson sumac, yellow cottonwood and warm brown oak leaves just accentuate and enhance the beauty of the stone sentinels and the blue bowl above them. So don’t wait! Take the colors of Sedona fall and make your wedding a breathtaking spectacle of love and all its glory. Can’t you imagine a bridal bouquet with sunset colors and topiaries with brilliant autumn leaves down the aisle? Maybe you could have orchids and orange calla lilies cascading down your cake and your dress could be a soft peach or cream with fire accents on the train. Call today 928-300-5285 for a free consultation and we will begin your Sedona Dream Wedding plan. I forgot to mention in my last post that Heartline does wonderful catering.
